Write on Your Feet: An Improv to Sketch Workshop

For a sketch-writer, staring at a blank page can be the most intimidating part of the process. You’re looking for that spark of inspiration, that premise, that joke that kickstarts you into writing the world’s funniest five pages (it could be the world’s funniest three pages, you probably should cut down some of the opening). For writers who improvise… slap those two hands together because we’re going to learn how to improvise scenes into sketches. You’ll learn how to use an improv show or just a team rehearsal as a jumping off point for scenes — and how to channel that energy into finished sketches for a show. The work is hard but the vibes are chill. See you there.
