From the Ground Up: A Joke-Writing Comedy Workshop

Jokes — a setup and a punchline — are the building blocks of all comedy. From a social media post to a feature length film, when you’re making something funny you need jokes. Sitting down at a blank page to write jokes can seem intimidating, but with practice it can become habit. A fun habit, where you get to chuckle to yourself about how funny you think your jokes are! This workshop starts with joke structure, teaches you skills to write jokes at volume on demand, and puts you in the experience of a writers’ room. Get those vague joke ideas out of your head, sharpen your instincts, and start writing the jokes only you can write.
